It was my birthday on Friday but there was no birthday cake for this Weight Watcher, instead my kids and I made these delicious and healthy Strawberry Cheesecake Bites.

I have been really disheartened lately, as evidenced by my distinct lack of blog entries. I hit a period where the weight loss totally slowed down. I was only having very small losses each week, and even a small gain or two that were for no apparent reason (more on that in another post). It was really frustrating and at times maddening because I was still totally committed to my journey and working just as hard as ever.
It’s really lousy to put so much effort into something and get little or no reward. I did manage to stay on plan with no deviances at all despite my frustration, which I am proud of, and although there were weeks when I really didn’t want to go and weigh in, I dragged my (considerable) behind to a meeting every week. I just kept telling myself to look at the bigger picture, at my total loss rather than my weekly loss and remind myself that whether it was -2lbs or -0.2lbs every little bit of weight lost is a step in the right direction.
